On my XP system this says "Microsoft Windows XP Professional, Version 2002, Service Pack 2". The properties dialog has several tabs, the default is "General", which includes the OS version. ![]() To get the OS version in an XP guest, right click on the "My Computer" (*) icon on the guest desktop, select "Properties".
